If your doggies love to play outside, chances are they're tracking dirt and mud into the house and all over their beds. Fortunately, Greener Pup's washable dog bed covers are easy to keep clean since the cover and inner bed are two separate pieces. So you can feel comfortable letting Fido roam free and roll around all he wants - keeping his Greener Pup bed clean will be no problem!

Washing the Outer Cover:

The outer cover is easily removable and machine washable. Simply unzip the cover and toss it in the washing machine. You may use your favorite detergent, but we recommend using an eco-friendly product to prevent pollutants and synthetic chemicals from entering rivers, lakes and coastal areas. (Our favorite non-toxic cleaners are made by Mrs. Meyers, because theyfre biodegradable, use renewable resources and are never tested on animals.) Do not bleach bed covers. After washing bed covers, you may air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

Please note that all fabric covers do contain dyes, and we suggest that each Greener Pup pet dog bed cover be washed in cold water prior to doggy use. And doing a load of laundry in cold instead of hot water will actually save up to 90% of your machine's energy consumption!

Cleaning the Bed:

Greener Pup pet dog beds are filled with soft, durable fibers that are not only environmentally friendly, they're also breathable, non-allergenic and won't attract insects. The bed itself is not machine washable, but it can be freshened up in the dryer on air fluff - no heat. All beds have a zipper on the inner lining, so you may also remove the stuffing, wash the lining, then re-stuff!

Fluffy Beds:

To really help fluff the bed back up, we recommend adding a couple of clean, new tennis balls to the dryer. Youfll be amazed by the results!

Our customers, and their pups, love how big and fluffy our overstuffed beds are, but some older or disabled dogs may have trouble climbing on and off of them. If that's the case, simply unzip the cover, open the inner lining, and remove some of the excess stuffing. Our bed fillers really keep their shape, but should you ever want to "re-fluff and re-nest" your bed, just save the stuffing and add it as needed to plump up the bed.
